Election Process
Participating in the EdGSA is a great opportunity to develop collaboration and organizational skills, meet new people, and learn about UofM governance. It is also a great addition to your CV!
All Education Graduate Students are welcome and encouraged to self-nominate for executive positions and general board member positions for the 2024-25 Education Graduate Students’ Association.
The term for these roles is May 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025.

Executive Positions
Current Executive positions include:
Note: There will be a vote on a motion for an amendment to the EdGSA charter to allow executive positions to be subdivided and another to allow more than one person to hold an executive role.
There are also 10 additional board member roles available, some of which are generalist and others with predefined roles:

- Vice President of Communications
- Vice President of Events
- Vice President of Advocacy
- Vice President of Finance

- Indigenous Graduate Student Representative

Self - nomination process
If you are interested in filling any of the above positions, please email [email protected] with the position you are interested in filling.
Deadline to submit your self-nomination is Wednesday, March 13th.
Note: Each candidate will be offered three (3) minutes at the Annual General Meeting to address those in attendance prior to commencement of voting.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The AGM will occur on Monday, March 18 at 4:30PM.
Candidates that address those in attendance will be recorded and video shared internally on the EdGSA Discord to help facilitate online voting for those unable to attend in-person.
Voting will close on Thursday, March 21.
